Welcome to Traditional Hopi Kachinas

It's that time of year again. Time for the Big 4th of July Carving Show! Come down to the shop and meet the carvers. It's always a big weekend in Flagstaff. MNA will have their Hopi Marketplace and there will be Hopi dancers as usual. Esther will be making her usual Awesome taquitos y salsa y guacamole for 1st Friday Artwalk. And don't worry about the fire, it's far from town and will be contained by then anyway. So come over and enjoy the great Flagstaff weather and please join us for this great annual tradition.

Featured Carver of the Month
MERLIN KOPELVA
Finally Merlin decided to carve a few dolls! I think this kid is one of the best carvers out there. Such detail in the paint and accessories. All have his trademark carved out Turquoise necklace and his unique color palette. Awesome dolls I just wish we could get him to carve more frequently.

And now the fine print! Soon I will be changing the name of the shop to Six Peaks Indian Goods. The name comes from the sacred home of the kachinas, the San Francisco Peaks! But why? you say.. Because I don't want to sell my name with my shop. Yes you heard that right. Soon I will be putting my shop up for sale. Don't worry I won't be selling it to just anyone, hopefully I'll be selling it to you. A collector, a respectful student of art and culture, someone who wants to be trained by the best to be an Indian Trader.
